Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Blueprint, including our website, browser extension, and related assessment intelligence services.

Effective: September 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Blueprint, a service provided by Blueprint Education Technology LLC ("Blueprint," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using Blueprint, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use Blueprint.

2. About Blueprint

Blueprint is an assessment intelligence platform designed to support faculty and academic programs in reviewing assessment questions, evaluating question quality, and identifying appropriate curricular, accreditation, competency, content, and other assessment classifications.

Blueprint may include browser-based tools, web applications, artificial intelligence features, assessment utilities, and other related products and services made available by Blueprint Education Technology LLC.

3. Eligibility and Authorized Users

Blueprint is intended for authorized faculty, staff, and other personnel affiliated with institutions or academic programs that have been granted access to Blueprint.

Access may be limited according to an institution's subscription, program configuration, assigned user roles, or other authorization established by Blueprint or the subscribing institution.

Users may not share accounts, authentication credentials, or access to Blueprint with unauthorized individuals.

4. Decision-Support Tool

Blueprint is a decision-support tool. It provides recommendations and information intended to assist faculty and academic programs with assessment development and review.

Blueprint does not independently modify assessment questions, answer choices, grades, examination settings, curricular mappings, or other information within third-party assessment platforms. Users remain responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to apply any recommendation provided by Blueprint.

Blueprint recommendations should not be treated as authoritative determinations regarding academic standards, accreditation requirements, curricular alignment, or professional or clinical matters.

5. Artificial Intelligence

Certain Blueprint features use artificial intelligence to analyze assessment content and generate recommendations, classifications, feedback, or other outputs.

Artificial intelligence systems may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate results. AI-generated output is provided on an "as is" basis and should be independently reviewed by the user.

Users are responsible for exercising appropriate academic, professional, and subject-matter judgment before relying upon or applying Blueprint recommendations.

6. Acceptable Use

Users must use Blueprint only for lawful, authorized academic and professional purposes. You may not:

  • Access Blueprint without authorization or permit another person to use your account;
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, access controls, usage restrictions, or security mechanisms;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying proprietary technology of Blueprint except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
  • Scrape, crawl, systematically extract, or reproduce Blueprint content, recommendations, or services through automated means without written authorization;
  • Resell, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit access to Blueprint without our written authorization;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, overload, probe, or attempt to compromise Blueprint or its infrastructure;
  • Use Blueprint to develop or train a competing product or service using proprietary Blueprint functionality or output; or
  • Use Blueprint in violation of applicable law or your institution's policies.

7. Intellectual Property

Blueprint, including its software, browser extension, website, interfaces, designs, branding, workflows, recommendation systems, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by Blueprint Education Technology LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Access to Blueprint grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No ownership interest in Blueprint or its technology is transferred to users or subscribing institutions.

8. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Blueprint may integrate with or operate alongside third-party assessment platforms and technology services. Blueprint does not control those third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, functionality, security, policies, or modifications.

References to or compatibility with a third-party platform do not imply ownership of, endorsement by, or affiliation with that platform unless expressly stated.

9. Institutional Agreements

An institution's access to Blueprint may also be governed by an order form, subscription agreement, license agreement, or other written agreement between Blueprint Education Technology LLC and the institution.

If a provision of a separately executed written agreement directly conflicts with these Terms, the executed agreement will control with respect to that institution and the subject matter of the conflicting provision.

10. Accounts, Suspension, and Termination

Blueprint may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these Terms, address security concerns, respond to unauthorized or abusive activity, address nonpayment, or comply with applicable law.

Access may also end when an institution's subscription or agreement with Blueprint expires or terminates, or when a user is no longer authorized by the subscribing institution.

11. Service Availability and Changes

Blueprint relies on third-party technology, infrastructure, APIs, and artificial intelligence services to provide certain features. The availability and performance of these third-party services are outside Blueprint's direct control.

As a result, Blueprint or certain features may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, or experience degraded performance due to maintenance, service interruptions, outages, rate limitations, or other issues affecting third-party providers.

We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of Blueprint and restore affected functionality when reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.

We may also modify, update, improve, replace, or discontinue features of Blueprint from time to time as part of the continued development, security, and maintenance of the service.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Blueprint and its services are provided "as is" and "as available." Blueprint Education Technology LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and availability.

We do not warrant that recommendations or other outputs will be complete, accurate, error-free, or appropriate for every assessment, curriculum, institution, or academic program.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Blueprint Education Technology LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the use of Blueprint.
