Blueprint is an assessment intelligence platform provided by Blueprint Education Technology LLC. Blueprint helps faculty and academic programs review assessment questions and receive recommendations related to assessment tagging, curricular alignment, learning outcomes, competencies, standards, and question quality.

We collect only information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and improve Blueprint's services.

Account Information

When you use Blueprint, we may collect information associated with your account, such as your name, email address, organization, academic program, and assigned user role.

Authentication Information

Blueprint uses authentication information, including authentication tokens and session information, to securely sign users in, maintain sessions, and verify access to authorized organizations and programs.

Assessment and Website Content

When a user initiates Blueprint functionality on a supported assessment platform, Blueprint may access assessment content displayed on that page, including question stems, answer choices, and related question information. This content is processed only as necessary to provide the assessment analysis, tagging, and review functionality requested by the user.

Blueprint does not collect a user's general browsing history and is not designed to monitor browsing activity outside supported Blueprint workflows.

Service and Usage Information

We may collect limited technical and operational information necessary to maintain the service, troubleshoot errors, protect against misuse, and understand use of Blueprint features. This may include feature events, timestamps, error information, and similar service-related data.

We use information collected through Blueprint to:

• Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
• Provide assessment tagging, alignment, and question-review functionality;
• Provide recommendations based on institutional and program-specific frameworks;
• Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot Blueprint;
• Improve the reliability and functionality of Blueprint; and
• Comply with applicable legal and security requirements.

We do not use information collected through the Chrome extension for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to Blueprint's assessment functionality.

The Blueprint Chrome extension is designed to operate alongside supported assessment platforms. When a user requests analysis, the extension may read relevant content from the active assessment page and transmit the information necessary to Blueprint's services for processing.

The extension uses browser permissions only to provide its intended functionality, including accessing supported assessment pages, communicating with Blueprint services, maintaining authentication state, and displaying recommendations within the browser side panel.

Blueprint does not use the extension to collect unrelated website content, monitor a user's general browsing history, or track browsing activity for advertising purposes.

Blueprint does not sell personal information or assessment content.

Information may be processed by service providers that support Blueprint's operation, such as hosting, database, authentication, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence processing providers. These services are used only as necessary to provide and operate Blueprint.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of Blueprint, our users, or others.

Blueprint uses artificial intelligence to assist with assessment analysis, tagging recommendations, and question-quality review. Assessment content submitted for analysis may be transmitted to AI-powered processing services as necessary to generate the requested results.

AI-generated recommendations are intended to assist faculty and academic programs. Users remain responsible for reviewing and approving recommendations before relying on or applying them.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

Blueprint may use local browser storage for authentication sessions and extension state. Assessment content is not stored in Chrome local storage for unrelated purposes.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information handled by Blueprint.

We retain personal and service-related information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Blueprint, maintain security and operational records, comply with legal obligations, and fulfill legitimate business purposes.

Assessment content submitted for analysis is handled only as necessary to provide the requested Blueprint functionality and in accordance with our applicable service-provider arrangements.

Blueprint is intended for professional and educational assessment workflows. Users should not intentionally submit personally identifiable student, patient, or other sensitive personal information unless such use has been specifically authorized by their institution and is appropriate under applicable policies and law.

Users may stop the Chrome extension from accessing assessment pages by disabling or uninstalling the extension. Account-related requests, including questions regarding personal information, may be submitted using the contact information below.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Blueprint evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of Blueprint following an update is subject to the then-current Privacy Policy.
